- Honda confirmed that a refreshed CR-V crossover will be revealed this year, arriving for the 2026 model year.
- The 2026 CR-V will also gain an off-road-focused TrailSport model that will sport a "rugged appearance."
- Honda also said it will show off a refresh for its HR-V subcompact SUV this year.
The current, sixth-generation Honda CR-V arrived as a 2023 model, and the refreshed version will go on sale for the 2026 model year. Honda didn't provide any specifics about what changes we will see on the revised crossover, but we expect minor revisions to the front and rear designs and an updated cabin. The powertrains will likely carry over with minimal differences, with the 190-hp turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder accompanied by the 204-hp CR-V Hybrid.
The CR-V will also add a TrailSport trim, which Honda says will bring a "rugged appearance." It's unclear exactly how many off-road-focused goodies the CR-V TrailSport will gain, but the latest Honda Passport TrailSport—which goes on sale in February—is the most capable TrailSport model yet, featuring a custom suspension setup, General Grabber all-terrain tires, and steel skid plates.
Along with the refreshed CR-V, Honda announced that the smaller HR-V will also receive a face-lift in 2025. The updated subcompact crossover should also arrive for the 2026 model year, and Honda says it will gain "styling and technology enhancements." Last but certainly not least, the Honda lineup will see the return of the Prelude name on a new hybrid coupe before the end of 2025. It's unclear when each of these 2026-model-year Hondas will debut, but we should have full details on the refreshed CR-V and HR-V in the next several months.
