My husband and I bought our 2026 TrailSport Elite in Sonic Grey last November. We are car campers and thought it would be a great upgrade from our Honda CRV! We are loving it and have done a few trips and look forward to more.

We recently picked up some Trunk-Mate bed frames and tested it out this past weekend for the first time. Worked out great!

Yes, with mattresses and sleeping bags. I'll post another photo later of our entire set up. This was just a pic I took after receiving the bed frames. They fold up and stay in the trunk when not in use. Thanks!

What’s your strategy for cooling or heating the car when carmping?

Yes, I'm curious about that as well. With a diesel truck I never felt weird about leaving it idling overnight if I was in a pinch.... but never done it in a gas vehicle.

If it was extreme either way I wouldn’t have an issue running the car for 15 minutes or so.

What’s your strategy for cooling or heating the car when carmping?

We have some USB chargeable fans we run inside for cooling. On our previous camp set up in the CRV we placed a screen over the sunroof and cracked it open. You can buy them on Amazon. The one we have doesn't fit the Passport though so we'll need to figure that out. Most of the places we camp from Spring through the fall are mountains or coast that are cool at night. As far as heating we don't worry about that as we aren't camping in terribly cold weather.
