According to The Drive, 2025 was the best year ever for the Honda Passport, with total sales jumping roughly 70% over 2024 and 55,231 units sold. What’s especially notable is that an astonishing ~80% of buyers picked the rugged TrailSport trim, showing that Honda’s focus on off-road-oriented SUVs is resonating with buyers. 
The Passport sits between the CR-V and Pilot in Honda’s lineup but targets more adventure-minded customers — the kind who might otherwise consider a 4Runner or Bronco. Meanwhile, the CR-V’s huge volume shows slower growth, and the Pilot actually saw a sales decline last year.
Honda plans to build on this momentum by expanding the TrailSport lineup and even showcased tougher off-road Passport and Pilot concepts at events like SEMA.
