Low speed braking

Has anyone with the 2026 Passport Trailsport have an issue with the low speed braking? It is a safety feature/setting that prevents you from backing into anything. Here is the issue, I have a cargo basket attached to my hitch. When I go to backup, it automatically and without warning slams on the brakes. I went in and turned the feature off but similar to the auto idle stop feature, it turns itself back on. I checked the manual and the only workaround is to always drive with the vehicle in tow mode. Didn't know if there was something you could get aftermarket to turn it off or not. Thank you for all replies

Essentially, they talk about always using tow mode or turning off the rear parking sensors.
