Well, after going through both the washer and dryer, I can happily report that the key still works. Clearly, the Honda engineers had me in mind when they designed the key fob.

I washed a keyfob for my Jeep Wrangler and it never worked again. $450 for a key fob replacement

I try not to make a habit of doing this. I know replacement key fobs are $$$$.
