New Windshield

I have a 2026 TSE and my windshield got hit by a rock this morning. The crack has already expanded by several inches.
I've heard these windshields are extremely expensive as they are acoustic. Someone on a FB group reported the cost to be nearly 2k! Is that for real??

Same situation here ... rock hit, now a 24" crack. SafeLite quoted $1900 including tax for OEM glass & recalibration. Found a better deal locally for OEM glass/recalibration (St. Louis) for just under $1500. Local dealership quoted $2200 for same.

Ouch. I'm now wondering if I should get windshield protection film added to potentially help prevent damage...

I have a 2025 Odysee Elite with the acoustic glass, and the cost was $2800. My insurance would only pay $2400. I paid the remainder.
