No garage door opener!

Well I just picked up my 2026 TrailSport Elite and after searching, I realized there isn’t a remote garage door opener. There seams to be everything else on this vehicle, but a basic opener isn’t there. Makes no sense!

yeah buddy that one got me too, now I have 2 clicky things stuck on my visor, honda can install the optional mirror but it aint cheap, and no Sirius either! at least we don't have to pay monthly services like Toyota and ram to get screen working

You can buy a mirror with the Home Link and automatic dimming mirror feature. It is a Honda Accessory. There is a video on YouTube where it shows you how to do it yourself. Quite simple. Many look online at dealerships who sell accessories at big discounts. College Hills Honda is one example. You have to factor in shipping to what you will actually pay. thanks for the information on the garage door opener. I need to find another opener, I only have one. I think they are programmable to the door, I hope.

I bought a IOT device that lets me open the garage with a voice command. Fuck MyQ

Hi. It was a surprise for me as well. Gee my 2010 VW Tiguan had a HomeLink button. The 2019 Ford Ranger I traded in had a HomeKink Button. I didn’t even ask. Silly me. Didn’t think I had to on a 50k vehicle. So I thought HomdaLink then found out that was a subscription. My MyQ equipped opener changed their API’s so Apple shortcuts no longer worked, plus there was an additional subscription now to interface with HondaLink. An Airline/Hospital model for everything- fees upon fees. In my case I said to heck with them all. For 35 bucks I installed a Meross controller on my door it shows up on Apple HomeKit. I can ask Siri to open or close, or a GarageDoor widget from HomeKit shows up on Apple CarPlay and I can tap it to open or close. Something extra to go wrong and maintain but my house is pretty much automated anyhow and I simply can’t tolerate everything every conceivable activity moving behind a paywall! I’d be happy to have a $9 clicker on my visit before I’d acquire another subscription. FordPass originally wanted a subscription model and Ford owners went nuts and by the time my 6 month free subscription was up their correct decision was to give it away to their owners. I sent a letter to HondaLink to raise this issue, but not surprisingly I’ve heard nothing back. I guess if you are used to selling tons of vehicles maybe you just see this as an additional revenue stream, but I was disappointed. If I was in customer service, I’d have recommended a different solution. For me it’s Meross and part of my whole house automation or a clicker.

I had homelink in my previous vehicles. Problem is not connected wireless sometime. I had to reset my homelink and garage opener often. My garage opener is about 15 years old and working great. I still using my remote in my previous vehicles and my PP. I store the remote in small storage space. Perfect fit and had not slide out.

I have mine stored there as well, but I used some sticky Velcro to hold mine in place.

This actually sounds like stuff the salesman told us, use Apps to control things. You can use an App to play Sirius XM. The funny part about the Sirius XM decision was that they promote the Trailsport as being the off-road adventure vehicle and you are out of cell service a lot if you actually go do off-roadie stuff.

No sense at all! Not really techy here so have old school garage door opener on visor. Not happy about it!
