Its the Bose system. I just got off the phone with Crutchfield. TJ suggested to not replace the amp, sub, or the center speaker, or the rear pillar speakers all the way in the back. Just the door speakers. He said the amp should be good enough since the Infinity speakers he recommends are 93dB, which makes them sensitive to the lower watts the stock Bose amp is putting out.Is that the Bose system? I made similar adjustments and it sounds much better. I’m still planning to replace the factory speakers.
Thanks for the info! I wasn’t planning to change the head unit or amp, so this sounds exactly like what I want to do.Its the Bose system. I just got off the phone with Crutchfield. I told him I wanted a minimally invasive, low(er) cost way to upgrade. He suggested these infinity speakers: Infinity Reference component speakers

Yeah, sub $500 upgrade you can DIY over the weekend. That’s a win for sureThanks for the info! I wasn’t planning to change the head unit or amp, so this sounds exactly like what I want to do.
I may ask for some advice after you get yours installed.Yeah, sub $500 upgrade you can DIY over the weekend. That’s a win for sure
That TJ gave me the mounting brackets for free and the wiring kits for $4.89 each. Got the whole thing for $466 OTD. Maybe call him up if its more than that. Plus he knew a lot about what the Passport needed and didn’t need. Super helpful guy.

I’ll definitely be available for advice. Crutchfield has already made the research papers for the 2026 Passport. Has all the instructions on how to properly remove parts of the car to access the speakers, amp, and sub. They’re free when you make your purchase.I may ask for some advice after you get yours installed.
I’ll keep researching, too. Yeah, before I start pulling things apart, I’d like to know what I’m getting into.I feel a bit embarassed but I cancelled my order after seeing the attached message. I contacted Crutchfield back and asked them about this. They said its not a big deal and I can return the speakers within 60 days for a refund but I don’t want to go through all the work of pulling the panels to install them and possibly uninstall them and reinstall the stock ones and pack up the Infinity ones and ship them back all on the guess that they might sound better. Maybe I’m being a bit overcautious about it but it sounds like a potential headache. I guess I need to do some more research before I dive in.
