What is this button to the right on the Honda Passport TrailSport Tailgate/Liftgate?

One of our FB members was wondering and I don't know either, apparently it's not in the manual. Does anyone know what this button is/does?

It is the lock and unlock button if I am not mistaken. So you can lock without the key fob.
