I’m looking to disable my Passport down to it being a regular car, no updates, no GPS, no connections or anything. Just like a car from the 90s. Sick of updates messing with the car.

With all due respect, I can hear some of you already but I’m just looking for an answer on how to do it, not how stupid you think it is.

I want a car that’s mine, not something Honda can access remotely.

So far I’ve read to just remove the ECU fuses or the actual ECU from behind the dashboard. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Yeah, not gonna happen at this point, no way. You would need to basically start over from a shell, lol.
Everything is integrated, everything is monitored- down to even basic functions. Just unhooking the battery terminal and hooking it back up lights up the dash like a Xmas tree for like 10 minutes- then it starts to reset things.
What you want is an older car.

Yeah I think you’re right. If I had all the money I’d buy an older Toyota Land Cruiser and have it rebuilt from the ground up. Have you seen those YouTube videos of them completely disassembling a Land Cruiser, cleaning it and reassembling it? It’s pretty cool.

I’ll keep searching on how to fix it if possible but you’re probably right.
